Everything you need to know before getting ink'd at InKings Tattoo Studio.
We do accept walk-ins when our artists have availability, but we highly recommend booking an appointment to ensure your preferred artist is available and to avoid wait times. Walk-ins are first-come, first-served and may need to wait for the next available artist.
You must be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo in New York state. We require a valid, government-issued ID for age verification. No exceptions — this is strictly enforced for your protection and our license.
No. We create 100% custom original artwork for every client. We do not replicate other artists' tattoos, flash from other shops, or copy images from the internet. We believe in original art that is as unique as you are. Bring your ideas and we'll create something one-of-a-kind.
Our shop minimum is $100. Hourly rates range from $150-$200 depending on the artist and piece complexity. Larger pieces like sleeves require a custom quote. Visit our Pricing page for more details.
The best way to book is through our online consultation form. Fill out your ideas, budget, and preferred artist, and we'll get back to you within 24-48 hours. For fastest service, call us directly at (315) 555-1234.
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit goes toward your final tattoo cost. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours notice to avoid forfeiting your deposit.
Pain tolerance varies by person and placement. Most describe it as a sharp scratching or burning sensation. Areas with more bone or nerve endings (ribs, feet, hands) tend to be more sensitive. Our artists are experienced and can help make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Your artist will provide detailed aftercare instructions. Generally: keep the bandage on for 2-4 hours, wash gently with unscented soap, apply a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion 2-3 times daily, avoid swimming and direct sunlight, and don't pick at peeling skin. Proper aftercare ensures your tattoo heals beautifully.
Absolutely! Bring any inspiration, ideas, reference images, or sketches to your consultation. Even if it's just a rough idea or a photo from Pinterest, our artists can work with you to create a custom design. We transform your ideas into original artwork tailored specifically for you.
Our artists are skilled in many styles including black & grey, fine line, traditional, neo-traditional, realism, script, and custom sleeves. Each artist has their own specialties. Check out our Artists page and Gallery to see their work.
Yes! Our experienced artists are skilled at transforming old, unwanted tattoos into something you can be proud of. Cover-ups require a consultation to assess the existing tattoo and discuss options. We can often incorporate existing work into a new design or completely cover it with something new.
We recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance for standard pieces. Our most popular artists (like Stacy) may book several months out. If you have a specific date in mind, the earlier you book, the better. We also maintain a waitlist for last-minute cancellations.
